1. Overview

This Privacy Policy explains how Prelive collects, uses, and protects your information when you use the mobile application and website. We are committed to safeguarding your privacy and ensuring that your data is handled responsibly.

Our goal is to collect only the data necessary to improve your language learning experience while maintaining strong privacy protections.

2. Data Controller

Prelive is a product developed and operated by Builduct, LLC, a Delaware limited liability company (USA). Builduct, LLC acts as the data controller for personal information collected through the Prelive mobile application and website. As the data controller, Builduct, LLC determines how and why personal data is processed and is responsible for protecting user data in accordance with applicable laws.

3. Information We Collect

Account Information. When you create a Prelive account, we may collect your name, email address, profile photo, authentication provider (such as Google or Apple), and other account information necessary to create and manage your account.

Feedback. If you submit feedback, suggestions, bug reports, or support requests, we collect the information you choose to provide to help us improve Prelive and respond to your inquiries.

Learning Data. We collect information about your language learning experience, including your native and target languages, proficiency level, learning goals, selected learning situations, mission progress, flashcard progress, achievements, XP, streaks, and other learning-related activity to personalize your experience and track your progress.

Voice and Audio Data. When you use speaking features, we collect and process your voice recordings, speech transcriptions, pronunciation assessments, fluency assessments, and related audio files to provide speech recognition, pronunciation feedback, conversational AI, and language learning features. Voice data is not used to train general AI models unless we explicitly notify you and obtain any required consent.

AI Conversation Data. We collect conversation history, AI-generated responses, conversation evaluations, intent detection results, feedback, and conversation scores to support immersive language practice, improve learning outcomes, and maintain your conversation history.

Gameplay Data. We collect information about your gameplay activities, including missions started or completed, checklist progress, actions performed, session duration, retries, hints shown, achievements, rewards, and other gameplay interactions to operate the learning experience.

Purchase and Subscription Information. If you purchase a Prelive subscription, paid feature, or early-access offer, we may collect and process limited purchase and subscription information, such as the product purchased, subscription status, trial status, renewal status, cancellation status, entitlement status, transaction identifiers, and purchase history. We do not collect or store your full payment card details. Payments are processed by third-party payment providers, app stores, and subscription management services such as Google Play, Apple App Store, RevenueCat, or other payment processors.

4. Usage and Device Information

Diagnostics and Crash Reports. We may automatically collect crash reports, error logs, diagnostic information, and performance data to identify technical issues, improve app stability, and maintain the reliability of our services.

Device Information. We collect limited technical information about your device, including your device type, operating system, app version, platform, and push notification token (if notifications are enabled), to provide and improve the Services. Some of our trusted third-party service providers, such as analytics and subscription management providers, may automatically collect additional technical information, including IP addresses, device identifiers, and other diagnostic information, in accordance with their own privacy policies and solely to provide their services.

Push Notifications. If you enable notifications, we collect device push notification tokens and your notification preferences to send learning reminders, mission updates, account notifications, and other service-related messages. You can manage notification preferences within your device settings or the app.

This information helps us diagnose issues and optimize the user experience.

5. Analytics and Product Improvement

Analytics. We collect analytics and usage information, such as feature usage, mission activity, app interactions, and performance metrics, to understand how Prelive is used, improve our services, fix issues, and develop new features.

These insights allow us to improve the product, identify bugs, and build features that better support language learning.

6. How We Use Your Data

Your data is used to operate the app, personalize your learning experience, provide speech feedback, and improve AI conversation systems. We also use aggregated analytics to understand how users interact with the platform and guide product development.

If you join the waitlist or subscribe to updates, we may use your email address to send transactional messages such as signup confirmations, early-access invitations, important product updates related to your request, and your personal referral link if you participate in a waitlist referral program.

7. Data Sharing

We do not sell your personal information to third parties. We may share limited data with trusted service providers that help operate the app, such as analytics, cloud hosting, and speech recognition infrastructure.

Third-Party Service Providers. We work with trusted third-party providers that help us operate Prelive, including authentication, AI services, speech processing, cloud storage, analytics, subscription management, and infrastructure providers. These providers may process information on our behalf only as necessary to provide their services.

Subscription and Payment Providers. We use third-party subscription and payment providers, such as RevenueCat, Google Play, and Apple App Store, to manage purchases, subscriptions, trials, renewals, cancellations, and account entitlements.

Any third-party services we use are required to protect your data and only use it for the purposes we specify.

8. Data Storage and Security

We use industry-standard security measures to protect user data from unauthorized access or misuse. While we take strong precautions, no system can guarantee absolute security.

International Data Transfers. Because Prelive operates globally, your information may be transferred to, stored, and processed in countries other than your own. Where required, we implement appropriate safeguards to protect your personal information during such transfers.

9. Data Retention

We retain data only for as long as necessary to provide the service, improve the platform, or comply with legal obligations. Users may request deletion of their account and associated data.

10. User Rights

Subject to applicable law, you may request access to, correction of, or deletion of your personal information, object to certain processing activities, or request a copy of your data. You may also request deletion of your account by contacting us through the support channels provided in the app or on our website.

11. Children's Privacy

Prelive is not intended for children under the age of 13 (or the minimum age required by applicable law). We do not knowingly collect personal information from children below the applicable minimum age. If we become aware that such information has been collected, we will take reasonable steps to delete it.

12. Website Analytics and Tracking

Our website uses analytics tools to understand how visitors interact with the site and to improve performance and user experience. These tools may collect information such as pages viewed, time spent on the site, region (country, continent), referral sources, device type, operating system, browser type, and interactions with buttons or forms.

For example, we may track events such as page views, scroll depth, form interactions, waitlist signups, and whether a waitlist signup used a referral link in order to understand which parts of the site are most helpful to users.

13. Analytics Tools

We use analytics services such as PostHog to collect anonymous usage data about how the website is used. This includes information such as page views, button clicks, error events, campaign parameters (for example UTM parameters), and limited referral-program properties tied to waitlist conversion events, such as whether a signup was referred and which referral code was used.

These analytics tools help us measure product interest, improve the design of the website, diagnose technical issues, and understand which features users find most useful.

14. Marketing Attribution

When visitors arrive at the website through marketing campaigns or a waitlist referral link, certain URL parameters such as UTM tags may be captured to help us understand which platforms, campaigns, or referral links led to a visit or signup.

This information helps us evaluate the effectiveness of advertising and referral sharing, improve future campaigns, and determine eligibility for referral-program rewards or launch discounts.

15. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time to reflect improvements to the service or legal requirements. Users will be notified of significant changes through the app or official communication channels.
